    Have read other accounts of life in sevice which I enjoyedLady Astor was a thoroughly unpleasant woman, and although Rose appeared to gain her respect, she nevertheless still had the upperhand There were some interesting snippets , but on the whole not as interesting as it should have been.

    Rose My Life in Service to Lady Astor by Rosina HarrisonI was interested in learning about what it was like to be a servant to a woman of power Rosina Harrison s book was interesting but I found itinteresting in the beginning, when it was about her as she began her life in service as a junior lady s maid to her rise to lady s maid I wanted to hearabout her duties and her travels I really did really care about Lady Astor so much but that s what this book is ultimately about, and i Rose My Life in Service to Lady Astor by Rosina HarrisonI was interested in learning about what it was like to be a servant to a woman of power Rosina Harrison s book was interesting but I found itinteresting in the beginning, when it was about her as she began her life in service as a junior lady s maid to her rise to lady s maid I wanted to hearabout her duties and her travels I really did really care about Lady Astor so much but that s what this book is ultimately about, and it really doesn t give much insight to Lady Astor either She was not a very pleasant person and I didn t see that she had that many redeeming qualities By the end of the book I just wanted to get through with it I would have stopped reading about 1 3 through but I had received this copy for review and I didn t want to leave it unfinished ...

    This was an interesting look into a real life story of an upstairs downstairs situation The book is full of anecdotes and stories of what Rose experienced and what her day to day life was like Not exactly a gripping page turner but I liked it and am glad I read it.
